The district was notified that a student on Friday has tested positive for COVID -19. Those students and staff were contacted and contact tracing took place for quarantining. Over the weekend we also were notified that a staff member who does not directly work with students also tested positive.
Due to the contract tracing that needs and has occurred between North Central Health Department and the Santee Health clinic the district has made the decision to close school on Monday. This will give school and health officials time to determine the safest next step for our community and students. Those students or staff who were in direct contact with either individual will be notified or have been notified by a medical professional. We appreciate your support during this time.
