Santee Community Schools, (6-18-20)
I wanted to email about a conflict that will make it so there is no summer school the week of June 29 – July 3. I have had to ensure the State Fire Marshall that NO ONE will be in our school buildings that week due to the water being shut off including the sprinklers. This will mean that there will be no summer school. This includes any facility usage being canceled during this time frame too. I am sorry for just getting this out as I have had to work with many different vendors and people to ensure when this could take place. Summer school hours will begin again on July 6.
Even though students will not be in the building for that week and there will not be any food service we will send home food with summer school students. At the end of next week your child will be sent home with 4 breakfasts and 4 lunches for the week of June 29-July 3.
Thank you for your support,
Santee Community Schools, (6-3-20)

We want you to know that we are thoughtfully and carefully preparing for a range of possibilities this fall. We are planning for options that maximize student time in schools while prioritizing the health and safety of all. We continue work closely with local and state leaders, our local public director of health, tribal council and state health experts. Though it is too soon to know the details of what or how this pandemic will affect the fall, we are planning for many different options. We thank you for being a partner during this pandemic outbreak.
